Important information
1. Installation must be completed in accordance with the relevant local standards and regulations.
2. Installation must be completed by qualified plumbing professionals.
3. Before installation, please check the collectors first. If the bottom of tube is silver, the tube is good. If a tube has a white or clear bottom, it is damaged and should be replaced. Please exchange them this way: unfasten and remove the plasic cap on the bottom, then pull the broken tubes out along with the direction of the collector, then replace a good tube and install the cap. Please do not to damage the copper heat pipes inside the glass tubes.
4. Do not expose the tubes to sunlight, otherwise the inner tube and heat transfer fin will become very hot. The outer glass surface will not become hot. Avoid exposing the collector to sunlight until the liquids are inside the manifold.
5. If two or more collector units are used on the roof, please use connectors to connect the collectors, so that the connecting is durable and solid, without any leakage of water.
6. The pipe lines must be protected with insulation materials. Where the lowest temperature can reach below-40°C, anti-freezing liquid must be used for circulation, and anti-freezing circulation control must be installed.
7. High pressure inside the system may occur due to high temperature inside the collectors, so a pressure release valve (PTRV) must be used at the outlet of the collector or storage tank.
8. Collector faces as close as possible to due North/South.
9. Manifold is not significantly shaded throughout the day.
10. Manifold is not likely to be struck by failing objects such as branches, falling fruit, or other objects.
11. Collector is installed at an angle of between 20°-70°, preferable at laatitude angel.
12. In areas prone to large hail(>¢20mm), collector is installed at an angel of 40 °or greater.
13. Frame is secured to structurally sound roof framing
14. Plumbing is leak free
15. Insulation above roof level is protected with foil wrap or equivalent.
16. Controller is configured correctly with freeze setting on
17. PTRV will dump only onto high temperature resistant materail and will not pose a danger of scolding people.
18. pump, controller and all electrical connections are protected from water ingress
19. Evacuated tubes have been cleaned.
20. Functuinal checks for controller and pump have been completed.
21. Water quality has been checked. Water in direct flow through the manifold header must meet potable water requirements
